The International Commission for Optics was created in 1947 as an Affiliated Commission of the IUPAP. Now it is a “Category 1 Full Member” of the International Science Council (ISC) with 54 Territorial Committee Members (13 Associate\n Members) and 7 International Organisation members.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The ICO is Category 1 Full Member of the International Science Council (ISC), the only international NGO bringing together over 200 international natural and social science unions and associations as well as national and regional scientific\n organizations including academies, research councils, institutes and foundations.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
